Fire Prevention Works

Project Details

C&S Group was appointed to carry out essential fire prevention works across both Rachel House and Robin House, delivered in two carefully phased stages to maintain safety and minimise disruption to ongoing operations.

Phase 1 – Fire Door Replacement:
The initial phase focused on upgrading fire doors throughout both facilities. Existing doors were replaced with fully compliant, certified fire-rated door sets, enhancing fire safety and supporting safe evacuation protocols in line with current regulations.

Phase 2 – Fire Compartmentation Enhanceme nts:
The second phase involved comprehensive fire compartmentation works. This included upgrading fire barriers and service penetrations to ensure effective containment of fire and smoke, significantly improving passive fire protection throughout both buildings.

• Supply and install of full new fire doorsets
• Recertify new doors
• Sealing with coated batt and intumescent mastic
• Fitting of suitable dampers to ducts, non-combustible sleeves, intumescent collars, fire rated units, fire rated glazing panels and beads, fire rated hinges, door edging strips, smoke seals
• Adjustments to door closers
